With more than 25 years of experience, Alemtek develops and supplies wire suspension for objects of all kinds – art and exhibition pieces, retail displays, screens and monitors, planting, cable tray and shop fittings. Wire grippers, steel wire, wire endings, ceiling attachments, and complete kits, specified to the object.
Fixing to the object: Glass, wood, metal, fabric, composite – each material takes a different attachment, and the fixing has to hold without marking or weakening the object. The wire ending is what makes the connection.
Uneven weight distribution: Objects are rarely symmetrical, and uneven weight puts more load on one wire than the others. It also shows: anything hanging slightly crooked is noticed straight away. Read our safety information to ensure a correct installation.
Height and angle: Objects often need to sit at a set height, at an angle, or in a position that is settled on site rather than on a drawing. Adjustable grippers let the installer set the drop and change it later without cutting wire or replacing parts.
Mounting: Galleries, offices, retail units and industrial buildings all present different structure: concrete, plasterboard, suspended grid, steelwork. Most suspension failures happen at the fixing rather than in the wire. Our figures cover the wire and gripper; the anchor and its suitability remain the installer’s responsibility.
Keeping the hardware discreet: In retail and gallery settings the suspension should not compete with what it holds. Grippers are available in several sizes and in nickel, black or white, either matched to the object or chosen to disappear against the ceiling.
Objects above people: Signage hangs above people in retail, transport and public buildings. Suspension systems need to comply with the standards. We supply tensile test reports and full material traceability by production batch.
Specification: Give us the weight, the material and the attachment points and we come back with a complete assembly: wire diameter, ending, gripper and ceiling attachment, sized against tested load data.
Development: CAD drawings, prototypes, free samples, tested load data, and custom tooling where volume justifies it.
Testing: Every production batch is tensile tested, and we supply the reports for any products in the range.
Kits: Ready-to-use kits, packed for your assembly line or installer. Custom labelling on request.
Ongoing supply: Reliable lead times, compliance documentation with each batch, and direct access to our technical team.
