Safety Information

Our highest priority is safety, and our team is ready to assist you with any questions or uncertainties. Please don’t hesitate to contact us. It is important to thoroughly review and understand the points below to use the system safely.

Environment

  • Suspension systems are made for indoor use, adapted for a temperature range from -20°C to +50°C
  • Be aware of environments where dust and small particles can clog the gripper locking mechanism
  • Suspension systems are made only for static load and are not approved for performing dynamic movements
  • Impulses and vibrations can considerably reduce the total strength
  • Do not use suspension systems in spaces with chlorine, high salinity or acids that generate fumes

Inspection

  • Before the gripper is used, the pin must have a noticeable pressure of the spring inside, and the pin should move out again by itself and return to its original position when released
  • Wire with damaged endings, bird caging, tangled loops, protruding strands or other visible damage must be discarded.

Installation

  • Suspension systems require sufficient anchoring (such as suitable plug and screw) to the fastening point. Wire shall under load protrude at least 25mm from the gripper exit
  • Beware of the risk for electrical shock when the wire enters an electrical appliance
  • Do not use tools when installing or over-torque the threads on any part of the suspension system when installing
  • Keep oils/fats away from the wire and grippers
  • The angle of the wire rope from the vertical symmetry axis of the gripper must not exceed 5°

Use

  • Working load limits (WLL) must be strictly followed. Please note that some products have a different working load limit (WLL) than what is listed in weight guidelines.
  • If the suspension system is overloaded, all parts must not be used and switched
  • Using Alemtek suspension systems with products with other brands than original Alemtek products voids our responsibility

Modifying

  • Frayed wires might damage the locking mechanism inside grippers or injure the user. If the wire is cut, prevent the wire from fraying by sealing the end (e.g. by super-glue)
  • Any attempt to manipulate the gripper mechanism voids all our liabilities
  • Do not paint or coat the wire or grippers

Special

  • The angle of the wire must be in the same direction as the gripper body. Otherwise, the joint may break due to stress
  • Wires in an angle exert greater force than vertical wires. Angles above 30° from the vertical position are not recommended

Other

  • Alemtek articles are in some cases made of a copper alloy which results in a small amount of lead (CAS No.: 7439-92-1). The article is safe to use throughout the whole life cycle including service life, disassembly and waste/recycling stage. Contact our technical team for more information regarding your specific product.
  • Your order is subject to our general terms and conditions.
