A wire suspension system holds a luminaire, acoustic panel, sign or other object from a steel wire, at a height that can be adjusted without tools. It has three key parts:
1. Attachment: A fixed point screwed to the ceiling, wall, floor or product, which the wire suspension hangs from. Ceiling attachments are the most common.
2. Wire: Wire rope made to work with a gripper. The wire ending is shaped to suit the installation and fixes either to the attachment or directly to your product.
3. Gripper: A quick-lock mechanism that grips the wire and allows tool-free height adjustment along its length. The gripper connects to your product through a suitable attachment.
The quick-lock mechanism does two things: it holds under load, and it releases when you want it to. Because the gripper holds through its own mechanism, the capacity does not depend on installer technique - unlike a crimped ferrule or a screwed terminal.
No tools, step-less height adjustment, and no cutting to length on site. Fewer minutes per unit, which matters most on installations with high unit counts.
Made in several sizes and finishes, machined to a standard that stands up to being visible, and specified to suit the object they hold.
A wire assembly weighs a fraction of a rod or chain of the same capacity, which reduces packaging and transport volume.
